Pendleton Reflects on Family

Dishonored

Lord Pendleton thinks aloud about the death of his brothers and the future of Lady Emily.

It is done. I am now the head of the Pendleton family. The mines. The shipping line. The factories. All at my disposal. I can scarcely comprehend that this is really happening. My poor brothers, so corrupted by power that they could not be redeemed. But I will not speak ill of them in public. The strife within the Pendleton house will not be made fodder for scorn in the parlors of respectable houses. At least the young Lady Emily is here now, intact. Occasionally I glimpse a bit of sadness in her, with her mother only in the grave these six months. Not every nobles hates the idea of family, it seems.
